1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "the Policy") describes how freeweb (hereinafter "the Provider") collects, uses, and protects personal information through the mobile application "Kikotto" (hereinafter "the App"). The Provider will appropriately handle user information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Types of Information Collected

2.1 User-Provided Information

When using the App, you may be asked to provide the following information:

  • Consultation input content (chat messages)
  • Child's information: nickname, date of birth, gender, avatar, interests, personality, current focus
  • Parent's information: name (optional)
  • Script-generation input content (situation and category)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

The following information may be automatically collected when using the App:

  • Device information: OS version, device type, app version
  • Authentication-related data: device identifier and auth token
  • Advertising-related data: ad identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and IP address (ad delivery and abuse prevention)
  • AI consent status (granted/denied/unknown and update timestamp)

2.3 Information Not Collected

The App does not collect the following information:

  • GPS location data (precise location)
  • Contacts, camera, microphone (unless separately consented)

3. Purpose of Collection

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • Service provision: AI advice, script generation, chat functionality
  • User authentication and security: abuse prevention and access control
  • Ad delivery: advertising display through Google AdMob
  • Security: prevention of unauthorized access, account protection
  • Consent management: obtain and process AI data-sharing consent

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

The Provider may share user information with the following third parties:

  • Google LLC: authentication processing via Firebase Authentication / Cloud Functions and ad delivery via AdMob
  • Cloudflare, Inc.: AI request relay via api-gpt.eerf0309.workers.dev
  • OpenAI, Inc.: AI advice and script generation (only after user consent)

Data sharing with AI services is performed only after explicit consent in the app. No AI request is sent before consent.

The Provider may also disclose information without user consent in the following cases:

  • Required by law (e.g., subpoenas, legal processes)
  • To protect the Provider's or user's rights, property, or safety
  • To trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf (within the scope of information use purpose)

5. Data Retention and Management

Collected information is stored and managed as follows:

  • Local storage: child profile, chat history, saved scripts, user profile, and AI consent state (AsyncStorage)
  • Cloud processing: only when AI requests are sent via Cloudflare Workers to OpenAI API
  • Retention period: during app use and for a reasonable period thereafter
  • Management methods: protection through physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards

As of February 18, 2026, the App does not perform persistent user data storage on Firebase Firestore.

6. Service-Specific Disclosures

6.1 AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob for ad delivery. AdMob uses advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and delivers targeted ads based on estimated location from IP address. Note that GPS location data is not collected.

6.2 Firebase Authentication / Cloud Functions

Firebase Authentication is used for user authentication. Authentication tokens and authentication information are securely managed to ensure account security.

6.3 AI Integration (Cloudflare Workers / OpenAI API)

For AI advice and script generation, when a user sends a message or triggers script generation, the following data is sent to OpenAI API via api-gpt.eerf0309.workers.dev (Cloudflare Workers):

  • Consultation input messages
  • Recent conversation history
  • Child context (nickname, age, gender; only when used in the current request)
  • Script-generation input details (situation and category)

This data is used only to provide AI consultation responses and script generation. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app under Settings > AI Data Sharing.

7. User Rights

Users have the following rights:

  • Right to access: request disclosure of personal information held by the Provider
  • Right to deletion: request deletion of personal information
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate information
  • Right to restriction: restrict processing of information
  • Right to portability: transfer information to another service
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent to information use

8. Children's Protection (COPPA Compliance)

The App is intended for parents with children under 13 years of age. In compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), the Provider adheres to the following policies:

  • Parental consent: obtained through app store age restrictions
  • Data minimization: only necessary information is collected
  • Parental rights: parents may request disclosure or deletion of their child's information
  • Restricted third-party sharing: child's information will not be shared with third parties without parental consent

9. Security

The Provider is committed to protecting the confidentiality of user information. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are implemented to protect processed and managed information. However, please note that complete security cannot be guaranteed for data transmission over the Internet.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

The Provider may amend this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Policy. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Please review this Policy regularly.
